Thank you just won’t cut it…To all of our vendors, sponsors, volunteers and donators… YOU are the reason that our Pink Days event is as successful as it is every year. Over the last five years, this event has been a ton of fun to plan and host. But it is not all about fun all the time. It is about helping out some incredible organizations and raising funds and awareness for Breast Cancer Research. It started with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and has grown to include The Regional Cancer Center in Utica. We are also fortunate and successful enough to add a contribution to a very deserving local family. Although some of the funds raised go to a national organization, the rest of it stays local. And we all know how much our locals love, well, everything LOCAL. On the back of this letter are all of the remarkable local businesses that help put on this event. All of these people stepped up to support a great cause that is near and dear to so many people. So, from the bottoms of our hearts, and with immense gratitude, we thank you. Without so many generous people, events like these wouldn’t be the same. We hope everyone had a great time and hope to see you all again next year for our 6th annual fun’raiser! THANK YOU again for all of your support! With gratitude, Mollie Wadsworth & everyone at GreenScapes Garden Center & Landscape Co. THANK YOU to all of our sponsors; New York State Tool Co. In addition to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and The Cancer Center at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare, we at GreenScapes have decided to donate part of the proceeds from our Pink Days events to a very special person; Missy English Clarey. Missy is the Aunt of one of our employees and we’ve decided to make her the recipient of this year’s donations. Missy is a 39 year old mother of 3 who was diagnosed with breast cancer on April 15th of this year. She underwent a bilateral mastectomy on June 3rd and started chemo therapy on July 23rd; she will continue treatments into December. Growing up and still residing in Sauquoit, Missy enjoys coaching softball, cheerleading and watching sporting events… and we’re told she can get pretty loud at football games. In addition to sports, she loves photography and spends a lot of time taking pictures. THANK YOU for helping us raise funds, not only for two great organizations, but for one very special Mother, Daughter, Aunt, Sister, Coach and friend. Visit our “Local Events” page on our website, our Facebook page, or simply stop down to the Garden Center for all of the event information.
