Garden Center to Open 4/6/2020

GreenScapes Garden Center to Open Monday 4/6/2020

With the uncertainty in everyone’s lives right now, we hope to provide a sense of calm and normalcy. We’re happy to announce that we will be opening the Garden Center Monday April 6th, 2020. With the constantly changing regulations, weekend hours may be added at a later date.

Horticulture benefits the health and happiness of every citizen and every community in the U.S.  Americans are resilient and resourceful in the face of adversity provided the opportunity to produce their own food and manage any shortage in the supply chain. Millions of Americans engage in food production at home, and more are sure to follow as the COVID-19 crisis unfolds.

With thousands of garden retailers serving communities across North America, these stores provide much-needed services. Whether helping Americans produce home-grown fruits and vegetables, as Americans did during WWII as Victory Gardens, as a mental and physical health relief or providing wholesome activities for children, garden centers offer products and support that individuals and communities can utilize during these stressful times.

In compliance with all State and CDC mandates, we will be opening the Garden Center for limited sales next week. Please call ahead to check our inventory and we can have your items ready for you to pick-up. We ask that you have an idea of what you are getting when you arrive to make sure visits are short and everyone can keep a safe distance; we will do our best to post what is available each week. Additionally, we will offer no-contact delivery of items that can be ordered over the phone. If you call and get our voicemail, please leave a detailed message and we will get back to you as soon as possible; we are working with a limited staff at this time.

We are taking measures to ensure the health and safety of our staff and customers; all counter surfaces, door handles, plant carts, credit card machines, computers, restrooms and any other surface will be disinfected several times per day, with hand sanitizers available throughout the Garden Center for everyone’s convenience.

Also, to encourage social distancing, we ask that all guests to utilize our large parking lot; leave several spaces in between parked cars so everyone has room to load their purchases into their vehicles. Moreover, we have plenty of outdoor space around our cashier booth for customers to space out from each other (a minimum of 6 ft. apart) – only our cashiers will be allowed inside the booth and only one customer will be allowed inside the Sales Office at a time. We will gather the tags from your plants and materials and complete your transaction with limited contact.

At this time, we will not be able to provide Tree Planting or Landscape Installation Services, but we’d be happy to help you plan your projects with our Landscape Design Services.  Call us today to schedule your no-contact appointment and we can begin the design process.

Our Gift Cards are always available online, over the phone, or at the office. The value never depreciates and they won’t expire – get yourself a little gift now that you can use to “Get Growin” when you’re ready. Or give a gift that is sure to grow on your friends and loved ones – everyone could use a little brightness in their lives and support to look forward to their gardening and landscaping projects.

There are plenty of ways to stay home and get outside in your own yard – sign up for our newsletter for your “Spring To-Do List”.  We’ll provide information on things you can do to get ready to plant, kid’s activities, and much more to help you stay active and as stress-free as possible during this unique time.  As of 4/6/2020, our Garden Center hours will be;

Monday – Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm (please call before you visit)

Delivery Services available Monday – Friday by appointment

As always, we are available by phone, email, and social media for all of your gardening and landscaping related questions – please don’t hesitate to reach out at any time. We’re choosing to stay optimistic and look forward to seeing many beautiful plants, and all of you, very soon.
